Man am I with you! It ticks me off every time Bungie comes out with a new map pack and I have to shell out my card to make up the difference between what I have in my 360 "wallet" and what it actually costs. It almost always overlaps and I always have to end up buying WAY more points than I really want/need. Why can't we all just buy stuff for how much it costs? I could see M$ pricing things internally in a point system for various conversion rates for different forms of currency, but for us end users, why can't we just buy it based on its price. $1, $5, $2.69, etc. Its just ridiculous and ever since the 360 introduced this "microcurrency," its been nothing but a headache. This is one issue that I think M$ should look at and LISTEN to their users instead of trying to justify their position - just admit a mistake with grace and move on to what the PEOPLE WHO PLAY YOUR GAMES AND BUY YOUR STUFF want. Is it really that hard?

Erum... This is why I don't have a blog, I can't post responsibly...

The last sentence above should read, "However, I can legitimately see charging (again, 'normal' currency) for extra content, such as expansion packs, items, teams, etc.."

Please excuse my illiteracy.

Very good point and I wondered about this myself, I just don't have a blog to rant upon. Somethings, I think, should require a purchase (with 'normal' currency), but another thing that bothers me is being nickel and dimed to buy picture packs, themes, etc.. In my eyes, things like that should be "purchased" with the achievement points of the game; this is an awesome reward for playing your favorite games. However, I can see legitimately charing (again, 'normal' currency) for extra content such as expansion packs, items, etc..

My two cents.
